Wow, what an incredible month it has been for my reading journey! I am beyond thrilled to share that I devoured a total of 9 books, and what's even more exciting is that I managed to read more physical books than audiobooks – a significant achievement for me! But wait, there's more! I had the privilege of diving into the captivating world of 4 Advanced Reader's Copies (ARC's) and had an absolute blast reading and reviewing them. It's safe to say, this month was a literary adventure like no other, and I can't wait to reveal the July Wrap Up official stats!
So, drumroll please, here they are:
9 books in total: I explored 4 digital copies, 2 print editions, and immersed myself in the captivating narratives of 3 audiobooks.
1562 pages devoured: I happily spent a whopping 41 hours engrossed in the pages of these literary treasures. 😻
32 hours of audiobooks: The world of audiobooks is an experience like no other, and it accompanied me for a delightful 32 hours this month.
4.04 average rating: One aspect that made this month stand out was the remarkable average rating of 4.04! Almost every book received my heartfelt admiration and was nothing short of AMAZING. Even the lowest rated book, "The Princess & the Fangirl," still managed to earn a respectable 3-star rating. I thoroughly enjoyed this simple yet charming YA romcom, and it proved to be an excellent representation of its genre.
Selecting my favorite book this month turned out to be an incredibly tough decision, given the abundance of outstanding reads that graced my shelves. Thankfully, my trusty monthly book bracket came to the rescue, and the competition was fierce! Narrowing it down, my top two favorites emerged in the finals: The Connellys of County Down by Tracey Lange and The Sea Elephants by Shastri Akella.
Both books possessed a mesmerizing quality, each weaving a unique and enthralling tale. However, after much deliberation, The Connellys of County Down emerged as the winner! What tipped the scales in its favor was the individual rating breakdown it received. Both books received 5-star ratings, yet The Connellys of County Down secured a perfect 5 stars across every single category, leaving no room for doubt in its excellence. On the other hand, The Sea Elephants, while a stellar read, earned a 4.5-star rating in the "enjoyment" category. For further insights into this rating distinction, I encourage you to delve into my review.
ARC's: What an incredible feeling of accomplishment this month! I had the privilege of reading 4 Advanced Reader's Copies (ARC's), and let me tell you, I couldn't be more thrilled with my choices! Each of these ARC's brought its own unique story. I'm delighted to share that every single ARC I read received a well-deserved 4-star rating or higher!! I feel truly
fortunate to have had the opportunity to explore these stories before they hit the shelves.
I am genuinely impressed by how this month turned out.

Reading over the years...
Once again, thank you GoodReads for allowing me to track my book read over the years starting in 2012! Years 2016-2019 I was in grad school so it makes sense that I would be reading less due to summer school.
Well, thank you for joining me as I recapped my July 2023 reading stats! Happy reading!
